Special Educational Needs & Disability
At Old Hill Primary School we are committed to providing an inclusive environment where every child is supported to achieve their full potential. We believe that all pupils, regardless of need or starting point, are entitled to an ambitious and engaging curriculum alongside their peers.
Our approach to SEND is built on early identification, high-quality teaching and strong partnerships with families. Teachers carefully adapt learning to meet the needs of individual pupils and ensure that appropriate support is in place so that all children can access the curriculum and make progress.
We follow the graduated approach of Assess – Plan – Do – Review, working closely with parents, pupils and external professionals to identify needs and implement effective support strategies. Provision is reviewed regularly to ensure it continues to meet the needs of each child.
Additional support may include targeted interventions, adapted resources, specialist advice from external agencies and personalised strategies that remove barriers to learning.
Special Educational Needs and Disability Information Report 2025 -2026
Our SEND Information Report explains in detail how we identify, support and monitor pupils with special educational needs and disabilities at Old Hill Primary School.
The report also outlines how we work with parents, external agencies and the local authority to ensure pupils receive the support they need.
